An article (http://news.ft.com/cms/s/39b697dc-b25e-11d9-bcc6-00000e2511c8.html) in the Financial Times suggests that both the U.S. and England have made some very poor intellectual property policy decisions, and explains why.  I'd say it's recommended reading for anyone who thinks there aren't some serious problems with current (and pending) law on the subject.
