As part of a larger sampler I purchased from Cigars International, I received a Perdomo Reserve Cafe Series "P" cigar.  In this article, I review the experience of smoking this cigar.

The Perdomo Reserve Cuban Cafe Series of cigars is a top-tier line from Nick Perdomo.  The cigars retail for about $147 a box, or $32 for a 5-pack.  I've picked several up from Cigarbid.com at a price well below the going retail rate.  If you're interested in trying this cigar, I'd recommend putting in a bid or two.

The wrapper of the Perdomo Reserve Cuban Cafe Series "P" is a beautful, nice rich brown color with only the very tiniest of veins running through it. The band is a very tasteful white, gold, and black that reminds you it's a quality cigar.  The series "P" is a torpedo shaped cigar.  The other lettered series are different sizes and shapes.

A draw through the Perdomo Reserve Cuban Cafe Series "P" cigar prior to lighting produced an extremely pleasant tobacco flavor.  The cigar took a little effort to light, but once lit it burned easily and evenly.  It may have been my lighting attempt, but the burn wasn't perfectly even.  There was a very pronounced "slant" between the top and bottom of the burn throughout.  Rotating the cigar during smoking didn't seem to reduce this much.

With respect to the flavor, I think I've found my "perfect" cigar in the Perdomo Reserve Cuban Cafe Series.  It was extremely smooth and pleasant, very easy to take, with a pleasant after-taste.  I tasted nothing but top-quality tobacco.  The flavor of the smoke was a little rough initially, but smoothed out pretty quickly.  It is a mild strength cigar, with a mild flavor.

All in all, an extremely enjoyable cigar and one that I look forward to smoking again one day.  On a 1-10 scale, with 10 being excellent, the Perdomo Reserve Cuban Cafe Series was easily a 9.  I enjoyed it enough that I have purchased many more of them since completing this review.
